Indian Art Triennale 2005

British artist Roderick Buchanan’s
video installation, “History Painting”
dealt with an army regiment in
Scotland and another in Tamil Nadu
that shared a past in colonial India.
The design illustrated this duality
and made the geographical link
between the two through illustrations
and typography. The green here echoes
the lush meadows in the video.
