Thematic Cultural Exhibitions
Martand Singh (INTACH)
New Delhi, 2002
Co-designed the travelling exhibition,
Khadi (handwoven Indian fabrics)
Knockdown display systems,
hardwares, graphics and mannequins
were all designed and custom
made for the travelling exhibition.
From design to production, all the
components together created a
modern and yet subdued look, as
desired.
1 Three different kinds of exhibition
 structures were designed. Two
allowed the viewer to stand back
and look at the exhibited fabric.
2 The third a cube enveloped the
 viewer with
khadi fabric.
3 A wire-paper model created a
 configuration of three cubes and
 later was fabricated, cocooning the
 visitor with
khadi. |
